Survival Game Stranded Deep Just Hit the Nintendo eShop

Posted on August 31, 2021 at 12:59 pm

Survival game Stranded Deep, which was initially released in 2015, has surprised Switch e-shop users by showing up on the storefront today, 31 August 2021.

The game appeared on Playstation 4 and Xbox One last year but the developer did not announce or reveal its plan until the game showed up.

The game allows players to experience terrifying encounters to test their survival skills.

The backstory of the game is that you were in a mysterious plane crash and you are stranded in the Pacific Ocean.  You are alone and cannot call for help.  You must build, craft, survive and escape the ocean.

You can explore underwater and on land, you find to hunt for supplies, craft tools and build yourself a shelter.

This surprise launch has certainly not given gamers any time to research the game, but we are sure that you will enjoy the game anyway.

What new switch games are we expecting in 2021?

Posted on March 4, 2021 at 11:59 am

2020 was a very strange year for all of us due to the worldwide pandemic, we saw fewer games released than we usually would see in a normal year, but we did see quite a few big releases from Nintendo last year for switch games.

We saw the release of Super Mario Bros. 35, Hades, Streets of Rage 4, Super Mario 3d All-stars and one of the best games to date Animal Crossing: New Horizons. So, we have had some pretty epic games to sink our teeth into last year. Are we expecting the same this year? We have put together a list of the top 5 games that are due to be released this year.

New Pokémon Snap – April 30th, 2021. We are extremely excited for the release of this game as are the millions of Pokémon fans. Nintendo has promised us “an all-new adventure for Nintendo Switch that’s inspired by the classic Nintendo 64 game”. This is a date for all gamer’s calendars.

Miitopia – May 21st, 2021 – following the success of previous Mii adventure games, the makers are bringing us a brand-new adventure.

Mario Golf: Super Rush – June 25th, 2021. The next instalment of the Mario Gold series but with a new feature. We are set to see story mode for the first time.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD – July 16th, 2021. This game was originally released back in 2011 on the Wii but Nintendo has decided it’s time to bring us a Switch version. We are expecting enhanced graphics, smoother controls and we will still have the option to use motion controls.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of ruin – 2021 exact date TBC. A new Monster Hunter adventure story is coming to switch and is set to give us interesting characters and monsters. They have said this game will bring us a “rich and emotional story”.

Two of the Newest Port Additions to Nintendo Switch

Posted on December 12, 2020 at 10:27 pm

Lately several games have been released for gameplay on the Nintendo Switch. Two of these exciting new port additions are:

DOOM Eternal

This game, whilst only being relatively new (with a release in March 2020) is completely new to the Nintendo Switch platform and has been released as a port and one of the few good first-person shooters available to Nintendo consoles. The Switch is unique to its predecessors with regards to first person shooters wherein they are practically non-existent for Wii and Wii U.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

The second exciting port game to come to Switch came as a surprise announcement earlier this year and took quite a bit of hard-work and dedication to make possible. Developers wanted to ensure the graphics were not compromised to the point of not being able to give the game the quality of visuals that are expected of this series.

Latest Super Mario News

Posted on November 11, 2020 at 12:04 pm

To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Super Mario, Nintendo did several special releases this fall to commemorate this incredible classic. September saw the release of the Super Mario 3D All-stars which included an omnibus collection of Mario games that were originally released for either the Nintendo 64, Gamecube and Wii. Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy can be purchased as one package either in a physical or digital version but is only available until 31 March 2021!!

Other note-worthy Mario releases this year, released as of October, are the Super Mario Bros 35, which is designed like a Tetris 99 model and pits other players against each other in a battle royale. This game is free to NSO subscribers and offers a fun new way to ‘Mario’. Additionally, October saw the release of Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. This Mario Kart version is similar to the Mario Bros 35 in that you are also competing against other players and like 35, offers a fun new remix of a classic game.
